The Resurrection and Sanctification
"The same power that raised Christ from the dead is now at work in me."

Today’s reading from Day by Day by Grace reminds me that resurrection life isn’t just about beginning the Christian journey—it's also the power by which we continue. Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1 is an invitation to live with spiritual eyes wide open. God longs for us not only to see the power that raised Christ from the dead, but to know it personally—experientially—as the very power that works in us. The same power that raised Jesus and seated Him in heavenly places is available to us for sanctification, enabling us to rise above the pull of the flesh, the weariness of the world, and the lies of the enemy. This isn’t just theological—it’s transformational.
Journal Entry in the Voice of the Holy Spirit Through Scripture
My beloved, I have opened your eyes to see the truth, and now I invite you to walk in it. You were not only crucified with Christ—you were raised with Him. My power in you is not theoretical; it is the very same power that brought Jesus out of the tomb and seated Him in glory.
You no longer need to draw from your own limited strength. My resurrection power lifts you out of despair, out of striving, out of old patterns that feel too stubborn to change. I have given you a new heart, and I dwell within you to express My life through yours. This is not a call to try harder. This is a call to trust more deeply.
Let My power raise you today—from fear to faith, from weariness to joy, from anxiety to peace. Do not look to your circumstances or your flesh. Set your heart on things above, where Christ is seated. I have seated you there with Him, hidden in His righteousness, embraced in His victory. This is your true life. Walk in it, not by effort, but by trust. Let Me be the source.

Prayer of Trust
Father, thank You for opening the eyes of my heart to see the resurrection power already at work in me. I trust You—not just to have raised Jesus from the dead, but to raise me daily into the fullness of life in Christ. I rest in what You have done, and I draw from the endless power of Your Spirit within me. In every situation today, I expect Your resurrection life to be enough. Amen.
