The Way to Peace
Peace is not found in striving, but in yielding to the presence of Christ within.
Devotional Isights from Immeasurably More
The exaltation of Christ is absolute—His name is above every name, and every knee will bow before Him in recognition of His Lordship. But this isn't just a future reality; it is a present invitation. Paul reminds us in Philippians that we already have the mind of Christ. It is not something we must strive for, achieve, or imitate—it is already ours in Him.
Yet, how often do we resist what is already ours? How often do we struggle instead of resting in the peace that comes from surrender? Paul calls us to let the mind of Christ break through in our daily lives, especially in how we relate to others. To let go of personal rights, to receive injury without complaint, to cease striving—this is the pathway to peace. The peace of Christ isn’t something we manufacture; it is something we receive as we stop resisting Him. When we cease fighting for control and renounce self-interest, we walk in the victory that has already been secured.
The question isn’t whether Christ’s life is available to us, but whether we will step aside and let it be expressed in and through us. Peace is not a reward for effort—it is the inevitable fruit of yielded trust.

You already have the mind of Christ, for I dwell within you. I have given you My peace—not as the world gives, but as the settled reality of My presence within you. Let your heart not be troubled, nor let it be afraid. Stop striving, and know that I am God. Be still before Me and yield to My life within. I humbled Myself, taking the form of a servant, and I call you to do the same.
Do not hold tightly to your own way, your own sense of justice, your own need to be heard. Let this mind be in you—the mind of surrender, of quiet trust, of love that seeks nothing in return. If they revile you, entrust yourself to the One who judges justly. If they wrong you, forgive as I have forgiven you. If they press upon you, do not resist in the flesh but stand firm in the Spirit. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Your life is hidden with Christ in Me. When you abide in Me, you will bear much fruit—but apart from Me, you can do nothing. I have given you all that pertains to life and godliness. You lack nothing. You need not grasp for peace—it is already yours. Simply let My life be expressed through you, and peace will reign.

Prayer of Confident Trust:
Father, I rejoice that Your peace is already mine in Christ. You have given me everything I need to walk in the mind of Christ—not by striving, but by yielding to the life of Jesus within me. I refuse to grasp for what You have already provided. Instead, I rest in Your sufficiency.
I choose to let go of my rights, my need to be understood, my insistence on fairness. I will not resist Your will, but I will trust that in every circumstance, You are working for good. As I yield to You, I know Your peace will rule in my heart. Thank You for the privilege of living in Your rest.
Amen.
