Every Spiritual Blessing Ours in Christ
The vault of heaven has been opened—every spiritual blessing is already ours in Christ.

Bob Hoekstra reminds us today of a staggering truth: we lack absolutely nothing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 doesn’t promise a trickle of blessings we must strive to earn—it boldly proclaims that every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places has already been given to us in Christ. This means that heaven’s full treasury of spiritual riches—wisdom, peace, joy, righteousness, compassion, courage, and more—is not something we’re waiting on, but something we already possess because we are united with the One in whom all fullness dwells.
This isn’t about storing up heavenly riches for later use—it’s about realizing that those riches are ours now, available for daily living. Our intimacy with Christ isn’t just a spiritual connection; it’s a shared life, a union so complete that His abundance is our provision. Hoekstra uses the language of marriage from Romans 7:4—we’ve died to the old system of law so we could be joined to Christ. That union means we now draw life, not from striving to be good, but from the fullness of the One who is our life.
Yes, we may not yet understand or experience the full extent of this reality, but none of it is lacking. The Father has already opened the vault of grace and given us Christ—and in Him, we have all. What a beautiful invitation to stop striving and start resting in the truth of what is already ours.
Journal Entry in the Holy Spirit’s Voice Through Scripture
You are already blessed. Before you asked, before you knew what to ask, the Father gave you every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Me. He did not give sparingly, but lavished grace upon grace from My fullness. You once walked far from this abundance, but now you have been brought near by My blood. Your closeness to Me is not a future goal—it is your present reality.
All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge dwell in Me. So does peace that surpasses understanding, and joy that cannot be taken away. In Me is righteousness, not earned but gifted. In Me is forgiveness, not partial but complete. In Me is life—resurrection life that makes you new.
You are no longer joined to the law that demanded and exposed but could not empower. You have been joined to Me, the One raised from the dead, so that you may now bear fruit unto God. You live in Me, and I in you. My Spirit assures your heart of this: you are Mine, and I am yours.
So draw deeply, beloved. You are not empty. You are not lacking. All that I am, I am in you. You are seated with Me in the heavenly places. My presence in you is your inheritance, and it is already secure.

My Prayer of Trust
Father, how could I ever say I lack anything again? You have poured Your fullness into me by giving me Christ. I rest today in the rich simplicity of that truth—I am already blessed, already filled, already made complete in Him. No more begging, no more hoping for a better portion. My portion is Christ, and You have not held back a single grace in giving Him to me. I trust that all I need today is already mine in Him. I will walk in that truth with joy, with quiet confidence, and with eyes wide open to receive what You have already placed in my hands. Thank You for such abundance—thank You for Jesus.
