Solomon Lecture Series, Lecture 10: The Freedom in Christ process
The following post contains a brief summary of the information presented in the tenth lecture in the Solomon Lecture Series, presented by Rev. Paul Travis. The entire lecture series is available, here, at Grace Fellowship International.
Rev. Travis pointed out the only one who can live the Christian life is Christ, and it is in His life that we can live. He said that God’s primary purpose for us that we have Jesus’ life and that we become more conformed to Christ’s image. He emphasized that our ministry is not performance oriented, and that as we abide in Christ, He will make the fruit, and we will display it, and all the glory goes to God.
Rev. Travis stated that God’s desire is to be amidst His people (Exodus 25:8). He also said that we are not to act like Christians, but rather let Christ live His life through us. We need to find our identity in Him. Why don’t all Christians enjoy freedom? They have not come to the end of themselves. They have not been broken.
