Little-Known Requisite
Christ is being formed in me—quietly, deeply, and unmistakably.
Today’s entry draws us deep into a forgotten treasure of the Christian life: Christ being fully formed within us. Paul’s words in Galatians 4:19 reflect a heart that longed not simply for conversions, church growth, or spiritual busyness—but for the living presence of Christ to become visible in His people. His travail was not for results, but for reality.
The devotional presses into three reasons why growth in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus is non-negotiable. First, because it glorifies the Father. Second, because it reveals Christ through us. And third, because it provides the Spirit with a vessel through whom He can draw others to the same Life.
It’s not about doing more. It’s about being conformed into the image of the Son—the very purpose God had in mind for us before the world began. And yet, as noted by J.B.S., this union with Christ remains one of the least realized truths in the church. We often settle for surface-level Christianity when the Son of God is waiting to live His life through us. We have been called with a holy calling—not because of what we can do for God, but because of what He purposed to do in us and through us in Christ Jesus from before time began.
A Journal Entry in the Holy Spirit’s Voice Through Scripture
I have placed you in Christ, and Christ in you. Before the foundations of the earth, I called you according to My purpose and grace, not because of anything you could earn or achieve, but because I desired to dwell within you and conform you to the image of My Son. You are My workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to express His life—not merely to serve from afar, but to live in union with the One who is your life.
You were crucified with Christ, and now the life you live is Mine in you. I am not distant or dormant—I am forming Christ in you moment by moment, revealing Him through your thoughts, your words, your posture of heart. The world doesn’t need your effort; it longs for the fragrance of Christ. I invite you to let Him shine through.
When your heart turns to Me, you are unveiled, and I transform you from glory to glory, even as by My Spirit. You are not climbing toward holiness; you are participating in His holiness. You are not building toward maturity; you are maturing in Him who is the fullness of God. I travail in you until Christ is seen—until love, patience, joy, and rest reveal not what you are doing, but who He is within you.
The call on your life is not a task list but a relationship. Let Me work in you to will and to do of My good pleasure. Rest in the knowledge that Christ is your life. Let nothing satisfy you but His expression.

Prayer of Trust
Father, I thank You that before I took my first breath, You had already written me into Your divine purpose—to be a vessel of Your Son’s indwelling life. I rejoice that Christ is not simply near me, but lives in me, and I rest in the unfolding work of Your Spirit to make Him visible through me. I don’t look to outward signs for growth; I trust Your inner shaping, knowing that the One who began this good work will complete it. Let every moment be a stage for Your Son’s life to take center place. And may I never settle for anything less than His fullness flowing through me.
