Resurrection Victory by the Grace of God

“Living daily in the triumph of Christ’s resurrection.”

Adapted from Day by Day by Grace by Bob Hoekstra (March 17th)

The power and beauty of Christ’s resurrection reveal two profound truths that transform everything for us as believers: Jesus conquered both sin and the condemnation brought by the Law. Death gained its fearful sting because of sin, and sin’s power was strengthened by God’s righteous law, which highlighted humanity’s guilt. Adam's rebellion ushered sin into the world, and through sin, death spread to everyone. Without intervention, humanity stood powerless, unable to remove the crushing weight of guilt and condemnation that the law exposed.

Yet God, in His extraordinary grace, intervened decisively through the resurrection of Christ. By rising from the dead, Jesus validated that His sacrifice for sin was complete and sufficient. Death lost its sting because sin was forever dealt with, and the Law, which once condemned, no longer holds power over those who believe. Eternal life, instead of eternal death, became God’s gift to us through Christ, not earned by human effort but given generously by His love.

This magnificent victory prompts deep gratitude and joyful confidence in us. Jesus didn't merely defeat death—He shares His triumph daily, inviting us to walk moment-by-moment in the certainty and joy of His resurrection life. This life, freely given, isn't something we strive to attain; it’s the reality we receive and rest in as our inheritance in Christ.

Personalized Journal Entry in the Holy Spirit’s Voice (Scripture):

I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me shall never die. For by grace you have been saved through faith, not as a result of your works but as the gift of God. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for you who are in Christ Jesus, because through me the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Sin shall no longer have dominion over you, for you are no longer under law, but under grace. In Adam, all died, but in Me, all are made alive. I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly. Behold, I make all things new, even raising you up and seating you with Me in heavenly places. Walk now in the newness of life, confident in My victory. Thanks be to God, who always leads you in triumph through Me.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, my heart overflows with gratitude and joyful rest, knowing Your resurrection victory is now mine to enjoy moment by moment. You have given me eternal life freely, lavishly, undeservedly, and Your triumph over sin and death is now my triumph. You’ve replaced guilt and condemnation with peace and freedom, and I joyfully embrace this reality today, confidently walking in Your resurrection grace. Thank You for daily leading me in Your triumph, guiding me by Your indwelling presence. You are sufficient, You are faithful, and in You I am eternally secure.
