Calvary and Pentecost

Walking in the wide-open freedom of life in the Spirit.

Today’s meditation by G.G. draws our hearts to the twin pillars of our freedom in Christ—Calvary and Pentecost. At Calvary, we died with Christ; at Pentecost, we were joined to the risen Christ by the Spirit. These are not distant historical events to merely commemorate—they are realities to walk in. At Calvary, our bondage to sin ended. At Pentecost, the Spirit entered to indwell and empower. Because of the cross, there is no condemnation. Because of the Spirit, there is no domination. The message is clear: we are not struggling to be free; we have been made free. We are not reaching for victory; we are standing in it. Now, we simply rest in what is true and walk in the Spirit, who expresses Christ’s life through us.

Journal Entry – The Spirit’s Voice Through Scripture

My child, I want you to truly see what I have done for you. You were crucified with Me at Calvary—not in theory, but in truth. Sin’s dominion over you ended there. And then, through the outpouring of My Spirit, I joined you to Myself in resurrection life. I live in you now, not beside you or ahead of you, but within you.

You are not condemned. You are not under sin’s control. You are free because I have made you free. You are holy because I have made you Mine. The law of the Spirit of life in Me has set you free from the law of sin and death—not because you performed well, but because I carried you into this freedom.

So do not strive. Do not anxiously try to manufacture liberty. Simply believe what I have done and rejoice in it. Walk in step with My Spirit and you will experience the life that is already yours. My life is your life now. The cross removed your old source; Pentecost filled you with a new one. Stand in this. Rest in Me. Let My life be seen in you. (Romans 6:22, Romans 8:2, Galatians 5:1, Romans 8:4)

Prayer of Trust

Father, thank You for placing me in Your Son and giving me the Spirit to dwell within. I trust that I have been set free—completely and permanently—from sin’s rule. I choose to stand in the liberty Christ secured and to walk by the Spirit, not by effort. I rejoice that I don’t have to struggle for victory—I stand in Your Son’s finished work. I yield to You, Lord Jesus, to live Your life through me now.
