His Work, Not Mine

God leads us into the wilderness, but from there, He gives us vineyards.

God calls us to serve, not by mustering up our own strength or ingenuity, but by walking in the good works He has already prepared for us. We are His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus, and He is the one who initiates, empowers, and completes every work He assigns. Service is not about striving or trying to impress Him; it is simply yielding to the life of Christ within and allowing His Spirit to express Himself through us.

There is no need to fear inadequacy, for Christ is our sufficiency. When we move forward in faith—even in times of weakness—His power is made perfect. Often, the greatest fruit is born out of seasons when we feel the least capable. Just as God promises to give vineyards from the wilderness, He brings abundance out of our barren places. When we serve by faith, trusting Him rather than our own ability, we will bear fruit that lasts for eternity.

A Personalized Journal Entry in the Holy Spirit’s Voice Through Scripture

You are My workmanship, fearfully and wonderfully made, created anew in Christ for the works I have prepared in advance. Do not be anxious about what you will do or how you will serve, for I Myself will work in you, both to will and to do My good pleasure. It is not by your might nor by your power, but by My Spirit that My purposes are fulfilled.

When you step forward in faith, I am the One who strengthens your hands. Though you may not always perceive it, I am at work within you, equipping you with everything needed for My will. I have given you all things that pertain to life and godliness, and My grace is sufficient for you. In your weakness, My power is made perfect.

Do not despise the wilderness, for I bring forth fruit in the barren places. I will lead you into quietness and there provide vineyards. When you abide in Me, you will bear much fruit, for apart from Me, you can do nothing. Trust that what I begin, I will bring to completion. Remain in My love, walk in the works I have prepared, and know that your labor in Me is never in vain.

Prayer of Confidence and Trust

Father, I rest in the truth that You have already prepared every work You desire to accomplish through me. I refuse to strive, for it is not my effort but Christ in me that produces eternal fruit. I trust that even in moments of weakness or uncertainty, You are working. When I cannot see the outcome, I know that You are faithful. Thank You for the privilege of walking in step with Your Spirit, knowing that my life is simply the canvas upon which You paint the beauty of Your purposes. I yield myself to You today, assured that Your grace is more than enough. Amen.
