“If That Is the Religion of Jesus Christ…”

When Christ is lifted up through us, His light reaches places we could never go on our own.

A.B. Simpson points us to a beautiful, quiet power that flows from a life truly yielded to Christ. He reminds us that it is not through argument, clever evangelism techniques, or moral perfection that the world is drawn to Jesus—but through the radiant life of Christ lived out in His people. When Jesus is truly lifted up in us, His presence becomes irresistibly attractive to those around us.

Simpson recounts how a dignified, non-believing man was moved—not by persuasion, but by witnessing the sincerity and beauty of lives steeped in full consecration. The man wasn’t drawn to a performance or a ritual but to Christ Himself as seen in others. He said, “If that is the religion of Jesus Christ, I want it.”

This is the difference between mere Christianity and the exchanged life. It is not us attempting to act like Christ—it is Christ expressing Himself through us. When this happens, Jesus doesn’t merely shine from a platform or a pulpit—He radiates from ordinary lives. And when He is lifted up in this way, hearts are drawn to Him without coercion.

✨ Personal Journal — In the Voice of the Holy Spirit

You have set your heart on Me, and I am drawing others through the fragrance of Christ that now fills your life. You are not merely reflecting light—you are carrying the light because I dwell within you.

There was a time you believed you needed to convince, to strive, to be impressive. But now, you walk in quiet confidence, knowing that Christ in you is more compelling than any crafted words. As you abide, the world catches glimpses of Jesus—grace without pretense, truth without harshness, joy without effort.

The One who was lifted up on the cross now lives through you, drawing people not to a cause or a creed, but to Himself. You are a living testimony that Christ is real, risen, and available. Your peace in chaos, your calm in pressure, your gentleness in conflict—they whisper of a Kingdom not of this world.

Remain yielded, remain still, and watch Me work. As you go about the ordinary, I will make it extraordinary. Someone watching you today is closer to turning toward Me than you realize. Their heart stirs, not because of your striving, but because I, the Living One, am being lifted up in you.

Let Me live through you, and I will draw hearts in My timing, in My way. You are not responsible for results. You are a vessel of My life. Simply remain available.

Scriptures woven throughout: John 12:32; 2 Corinthians 2:14; John 15:4–5; Galatians 2:20; Matthew 5:14–16; 2 Corinthians 4:7; Isaiah 30:15

🙏 Prayer of Trust and Thankfulness

Lord Jesus, I rest in the beauty of Your life within me. You are enough—not just for me, but for those You are drawing through me. I trust You to live Your life through me today in the quiet, unnoticed ways that turn hearts. Thank You that I don’t have to be persuasive—I just need to be yielded. Thank You that it is not I who must shine, but You who already do. Let Your love radiate, and may those around me say, “If that is the life of Christ, I want it.”
