Lifted Higher: Embracing the Glory Within

"Lifted high in Christ, I soar effortlessly above earthly trials."

Today's devotional from Days of Heaven beautifully illuminates the extravagant generosity of God expressed in Psalm 84:11. Our heavenly Father freely provides grace and glory, withholding no good thing from those who walk uprightly—those who trust completely in Christ as their life. The author gently reminds us that “glory” can seem elusive, challenging to define in mere words. Yet it’s known intimately by the believer’s spirit, experienced as an overflow of God’s grace, a rich foretaste of heaven, and an inspired revelation directly from the Father’s heart. It’s the very glory that Christ Himself promised to share with us—His beloved children.

The devotional writer encourages us not merely to admire this glory from afar but to actively embrace it. Drawing from David’s heartfelt cries, we are encouraged to ask the Lord to awaken our hearts to the glory that already resides within, enabling us to rise above the mundane and soar effortlessly in spiritual heights. Like eagles soaring effortlessly in the sky, we exchange human weariness for divine restfulness. In Christ, we are lifted into a heavenly vantage point, strengthened by His very life, enabling us to run without fatigue and walk without fainting.

Personalized Journal Entry in the Holy Spirit’s Voice (Scripture)

Beloved child, I am your sun and shield; I give you grace and glory. No good thing will I withhold from you as you walk with Me in the integrity of Christ. Know deeply that the glory I gave to My Son, He has already imparted to you. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places, lifted high above all earthly struggle and weariness.

I have raised you up with Christ and seated you with Him in the heavenly realms, so that in the ages to come I might show you the incomparable riches of My grace expressed in kindness through Christ Jesus. You are complete in Him; all fullness dwells in Christ, and He dwells richly in you. Therefore, wait upon Me—rest in Me—and your strength will be continually renewed. You will mount up on wings like an eagle, effortlessly rising above every earthly burden.

Though outwardly you face trials, inwardly you are renewed day by day, tasting My glory and experiencing My power. My grace is sufficient for you; My power is made perfect in your weakness. In this confidence, continue to walk by faith, fully assured of My abundant grace, overflowing in your life.

Prayer of Trust and Confidence

Father, I thank You with deep joy for the grace and glory You have freely given me in Christ. There is nothing I lack because Your life, Your glory, and Your divine abundance already dwell within me. Today, I rest confidently in Your provision, rejoicing that I have been seated with Christ in heavenly places. You have lifted my eyes and my heart far above the ordinary, enabling me to live from Your fullness rather than my efforts. Thank You, Father, for being my ever-present sun and shield, for lavishing me with Your grace, and for sharing Your glory so freely. My heart overflows with praise as I trust Your life within me to accomplish all You desire. Amen.
