Christ in Us, Our Hope of Glory

Even when hidden from view, the light within continues to shine—Christ in me, the hope of glory.

Today's entry invites us to marvel again at the glorious dual reality of union with Christ: not only are we in Christ, but Christ is also in us. For those of us who believe, this isn't abstract theology—this is the foundation of our daily confidence. When Paul speaks of Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27), he is unveiling a divine mystery that was once hidden but is now revealed by the Spirit.

A mystery in the biblical sense isn’t something we solve with intellect or life experience. It’s something God must reveal. And this particular mystery—Christ dwelling in us—is the blazing center of New Testament grace. It’s not merely that we get to go to heaven someday, though that remains a beautiful hope. It’s that Jesus Himself is in us now, at this very moment, living in us as the source of our life, and expressing Himself through our hearts by faith.

This indwelling is personal, not just positional. Jesus is not a concept tucked away in the corner of our minds. He is our current, active, living hope. Yes, we anticipate His return, the blessed hope and glorious appearing—but even now, He is the hope we wake up with, walk with, lean on, and trust in. His indwelling is not a passive presence but the intimate core of our new life.

Journal Entry — In the Voice of the Holy Spirit:

I dwell in you, and this is the mystery now made known to the world. Not merely that you belong to Christ, but that Christ belongs in you. I have taken up residence—not as a guest, not as a visitor—but as the very life within your spirit. You are not alone; you never will be again.

From the first moment you believed, I sealed you in Christ, and Christ in you. This was My will—to reveal to the nations the riches of this glorious mystery. The world may look for wisdom in experience or knowledge, but what I have given you cannot be discovered through intellect. It is unveiled by grace, as you listen and trust.

Christ in you is your unwavering hope—not just for glory to come, but for today. He is your confident expectation when the day begins and your abiding assurance when it closes. He steadies your heart through trials, infuses your soul with joy, and guides your steps with peace.

When you pause in faith, you will sense His gentle rhythm flowing through your soul. He is not far off, waiting to be accessed. He is nearer than your breath, residing within, ready to express Himself through you. Christ is your life, and He delights to make Himself known—moment by moment—as you yield to His indwelling presence.

Every act of love, every word of grace, every quiet courage and quiet joy—these are His expressions, not your efforts. He is the radiance in your countenance, the whisper of wisdom in your thoughts, and the compassion in your response. You are not trying to become more like Him; you are allowing Him to live as Himself through you.

Stand in this truth today: Christ in you, the hope not only of final glory but of daily fellowship, of present joy, of abiding peace. Let this mystery be your reality—revealed, received, and rejoiced in.

Colossians 1:27; Ephesians 1:3; Ephesians 3:17; Titus 2:13; 1 Timothy 1:1

Prayer of Confidence:

Father, I thank You for the mystery revealed, that Christ is not only my Savior but my very life within. I’m not waiting for glory—I’m walking with it inside me. I trust in the indwelling presence of Jesus as my living hope today. No striving, no reaching, no searching—just resting in the One who already abides in me. Let my every word and action spring from this union. Let this truth be the anchor of my soul and the source of every good thing expressed today. I rejoice that I am in Christ, and Christ is in me.

Amen.
