A Whole Heart for Christ

That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.Romans 1:15 BSB

Paul's words reflect a heart fully consumed with the gospel—a life completely given over to the purpose of Christ. He was not reluctant, not half-hearted, not waiting for a more convenient time. His eagerness to share the gospel burned within him because he was captivated by the reality of Christ’s life in him. His was a life lived with intensity, not out of obligation, but from the overflow of a heart possessed by God.

Everything around us pulses with urgency. The world chases after ambitions with relentless determination—whether in business, entertainment, or personal gain. Sin advances with fierce purpose, never resting. Yet, how often do believers hesitate, treating the call of Christ as something secondary, something for later?

Imagine a musician with an extraordinary gift who rarely picks up his instrument. His skill is undeniable, his potential vast, yet he remains passive while the world waits to hear the music he was meant to play. How much more should we, who have been given the very life of Christ, be eager to let Him express Himself through us? The gospel is not merely a message we carry—it is His life in us, radiating through every word, every action, every moment of surrender.

Paul longed for the fire of God to consume him completely. He saw his life as a vessel through which Christ would be seen, moving forward with undivided focus toward the high calling in Christ Jesus. This is the invitation to us today—to embrace the fullness of what Christ has already supplied, to step forward without hesitation, and to live with the passion that His sacrifice deserves.

Prayer

Father, we rejoice in the life You have given us in Christ. We embrace the urgency of this moment, knowing that You have already equipped us with everything needed for the work set before us. May Christ express Himself freely through us today, unhindered and unrestrained, as we move forward with hearts fully surrendered to You. Amen.
