A New Order of Spirituality

"Resurrected life, rising quietly in the everyday moments."

“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.” — Romans 6:5

In this entry, Oswald Chambers speaks of a radical truth rooted in Romans 6:5: the believer’s union with Christ in His death is not symbolic—it is actual and transformative. When a person identifies with Christ’s death, it is not merely the end of sin’s penalty, but the beginning of a new kind of life. Chambers explains that this “resurrection life” is not theoretical or reserved for the afterlife. It is present now—imparted by the risen Christ through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

This new life produces a tangible change. We begin to resemble Jesus—not by imitation, but by the manifestation of His holiness in us. The Spirit doesn’t rent space in our hearts; He takes over the whole dwelling. The proof that we have died with Christ is seen not in emotion or striving, but in the simplicity of obedience and in the unmistakable stamp of His character being formed in us. Holiness, then, is not something we achieve; it is Christ’s life overflowing from within us. This is the new order of spirituality Chambers speaks of—a life filled, shaped, and governed by the Spirit of Christ.

Journal Entry in the Voice of the Holy Spirit:

You were not merely forgiven, beloved—you were fused into Me. You have been united with Christ in His death, and that death ended the reign of sin. Now you live as one who shares in His resurrection. The same power that raised Jesus from the grave now works in your mortal body, bringing life to every part that was once darkened by self-effort and fear.

The old patterns no longer define you. You have entered into a new order of being, one shaped not by rules or rituals but by union—Christ in you, the hope of glory. The holiness you once thought distant now flows from within because the Holy One has made His home in you. As you walk in the light I provide, I will reveal what is true, and your obedience will not feel burdensome—it will feel like breathing.

My presence fills every corner of your soul. There is no part of you I leave untouched. The attitudes you express, the words you choose, the compassion you show—all these are not self-improvement but divine expression. You are no longer under law but under grace, and this grace is not an idea; it is the Person of Jesus living through you.

So walk boldly, not with arrogance but with the quiet confidence that you are no longer alone. You are My dwelling place. I do not visit occasionally—I abide.

Prayer of Trust:

Father, I rejoice in the reality that I am no longer defined by my old life. My identity is not a restoration of something broken, but the birth of something altogether new. I have been joined with Christ—not just in death, but in His risen, holy life. And this changes everything.

Today, I rest in the indwelling presence of Your Spirit. I walk forward not to become more like Christ, but to express the Christ who already lives within me. Thank You for this beautiful exchange—the end of striving, the beginning of Spirit-filled living. Every moment is now an opportunity to live as one who shares in Your holiness.
