Radiant Readiness
“Not merely cleansed—but made radiant.”

Scripture: Daniel 12:10 (BSB)
“Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.”

A.B. Simpson reflects on Daniel’s prophetic vision and connects it to the purifying work God is doing in His people in preparation for the return of Christ. He makes a striking distinction—purification is not merely the removal of sin; it is also the infusion of divine radiance. To be “made white” goes beyond being cleansed—it means being so saturated with the Lord’s glory that it shines outward in our lives. This radiant readiness is not achieved through comfort but through fiery trials, the kind that cause Christ to become our everything. These experiences aren’t random—they are preparatory. The difficult and peculiar paths refine us not only to remove the dross but to etch the likeness of Christ onto our being. This is the promise of the coming King: that His bride would be both purified and adorned in His glory.

You are not simply being cleansed, beloved—you are being readied. My refining in you is not to leave you barren and bare, but to clothe you in splendor. Just as gold is made radiant in the fire, I am revealing My glory in you through what seems strange and difficult. You have not been abandoned to hardship; you have been invited into fellowship with Me, where Christ is your everything.
The testing is not punishment—it is preparation. It’s not merely sin being removed but glory being etched in. I am clothing you in white, even now, as you rest in the finished work of the Lamb who washed you once for all. Your garments are not earned through striving; they are kept through abiding.
Though the world reels in confusion, you understand. You see the signals, the stirring, the converging of seasons—and your heart, not your head, recognizes the nearness of your King. That recognition is My gift to the wise, those who walk not according to the flesh but by My Spirit. I am drawing you, dressing you, and displaying the light of Christ through you.
So remain in Me. Walk in the Spirit. Let Christ be all to you. You have been purified, and you are being made radiant. When He appears, you will appear with Him in glory.

Prayer
Father, I rest in Your perfect work today. You have clothed me in the righteousness of Christ and are even now adorning me in the radiance of His life. I do not shrink back from the peculiar paths You ordain, because I know they reveal more of Jesus to me. Thank You that I am not left to guess at the times, but that Your Spirit gives me understanding. I watch, I rest, and I trust—knowing You are preparing me as Your spotless bride. The fire does not consume; it reveals. The waiting is not empty; it fills. I am Yours, and You are coming soon. Amen.
